Character formation, Clear Water Academy has a central focus on the human development of each student. Character is developed through the inculcation of habits, or virtues, such as temperance, prudence and perseverance. One-to-one sessions with individual students and a comprehensive program to teach the virtues are key parts of this program. But equally important is providing staff who model the virtues and centering the school around the role model, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our literature, religious studies and history curricula present great examples of virtue in the lives of uncommon men and women. Our aim is to form men and women of principle, true leaders for today and for tomorrow. Human development is the foundation of our school, for without it students cannot go on to academic, spiritual and apostolic formation. Intellectual formation, Clear Water Academy has already established itself as one of the strongest academic institutions in the greater Calgary area. Spiritual formation is in the Catholic tradition, Clear Water Academy fully supports the Magisterium of the Church and the spiritual leadership of the Bishop of Calgary. The study of our Faith is complemented by encouragement in the life of grace through prayer and the sacraments. Apostolic formation ensures that future leaders will use their gifts for the benefit of society. All students participate from the earliest stage in organized Christian service projects to imitate Jesus Christ whom they come to know and love.
