Apostolic Class
Each grade from 7-10 will have a one-hour Apostolic Class scheduled into their timetable. The following is a list of the components that will be covered in each hour. Projects will vary in the level each serves, from the local school level to the community level to the international level. Students will serve first at the local level in order to practice the themes learned in class and then expand to the other two levels. Each student will be required to keep an Apostolic Journal that will be reviewed by the supervising teacher on a regular basis. This journal is an opportunity for each student to reflect on Gospel readings and their personal prayer life, to keep a record of service projects and their own responsibilities towards each project, as well as to reflect on their personal growth in virtue and development of an apostolic heart. All projects undertaken must focus on helping each individual student grow in virtue. All projects undertaken must meet the approval of the Principal and the Deans.

Components of each class includes the following:

  • Prayer and Gospel reflection
  • Apostolic journal and personal reflection
  • Theme notes and discussion (once a month the theme will focus on team building)
  • Activity or study of current events
  • Project planning and execution
