PREPARING CHRISTIAN LEADERS

The Faith-filled environment of Clear Water Academy, small class sizes and quality faculty enrich the high-school experience and cultivate leaders prepared for post-secondary education. Clear Water Academy provides your child with personal attention to grow into their God-given potential.

Integral Formation for High School Students

Human Formation
Athletics and performing arts challenge students to cultivate virtues like teamwork, sportsmanship, and courtesy. Junior High students can appreciate challenging non-academic pursuits by participating in our incredible Outdoor Education program, Interscholastic Sports (ISAA), and the annual Spring musical.

Intellectual Formation
A rigorous academic curriculum and small class sizes mean that students and teachers work together to achieve excellence in mathematics, science, language arts, religion, and social studies. New options like art, media studies and debate, in addition to French and physical education, excite students' love for learning.

Spiritual Formation

The School Chaplain and Dean of Students create opportunities for each student to enjoy their personal friendship with Christ and discover the fundamentals of Catholic teaching. Along with spiritual guidance, we participate in daily prayer and reverence, monthly mass, and off-site retreats to grow in faith.

Apostolic Formation

Students gain hands-on experience caring for others through service projects, concrete works of charity, and mentoring younger classes. In high school, students broaden their worldview by experiencing travel to Los Angeles on the Grade 10 Four Pillar-Thriller Trip, providing service on the Grade 11 mission trip, and pilgrimaging to Rome in Grade 12.

Performing Arts

The annual spring play, talents shows, and musical performances are pivotal to allowing students to express their creativity on-stage and behind-the-scenes.

Clear Water Academy students also engage in a rigorous debate program to build confidence in public speaking and research skills.

Athletics

Crusaders Athletic teams compete in the Calgary Independent Schools Athletics Association (ISAA) Sports league. Our teams regularly qualify for the provincial level in basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, golf, badminton and soccer.

The Athletic Director and coaching staff understand the importance that Athletics offer to Integral Formation and cultivating leaders. Our teams achieve success by modelling Christian values such as fortitude, charity, and obedience.

Busing Program

We are pleased to offer our families a pick-up and drop-off student busing service for the 2023/2024 school year. The Clear Water Academy school bus currently makes three stops within Calgary's Northwest quadrant. We believe that having our own exclusive busing service with an experienced and qualified bus driver is the safest, most reliable, and most formative option for our students.

The total fee for pick-ups and drop-offs is $2,500 per student for the 2023/2024 school year. The fees will be paid in monthly installments (September 1, 2023 - June 1, 2024). For more information please contact us at [email protected]
