Our Chaplaincy
At Clear Water Academy, Legionary priests serve as chaplains and assistant chaplains, providing the sacraments to students, including daily Mass. The chaplain also offers spiritual direction and the sacraments to faculty, helping them remain spiritually equipped to serve in their vocation as educators and contributors of formation. Likewise, parents are also welcome to seek counsel and spiritual accompaniment from our school chaplains.
Our Chaplain and Director of Formation
Fr. Anthony Sortino, LC
Fr. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. He discovered his passion for working with youth and families through parish ministry and Life Teen. After studying at Arizona State University, he joined the Legionaries of Christ and earned degrees in philosophy and theology in Rome, with additional studies in classical languages in Spain.
He has served in missionary work, seminary teaching, and spiritual direction across the U.S., Argentina, and Italy. In the past, he served as a board member of Canyon Heights Academy and as chaplain for the Young Catholic Professionals and the Catholic Googlers.

St. Teresa of Calcutta Chapel
St. Teresa of Calcutta Chapel is located in our Elementary building, St. Thomas More Hall. This sacred space is the heart of daily school life, where class masses are celebrated as well as masses for faculty, and families, inviting them to encounter Christ through prayer, the liturgy, and the sacraments. In this chapel, our students learn to participate reverently in the Mass, grow in gratitude for God’s blessings, and develop a love for prayer that supports their spiritual formation.
Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel
Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, located in Athlone Hall, is a (newly renovated) dedicated sacred space for our secondary students in Grades 7 to 12. This chapel offers an intimate setting for class masses, for prayer, reflection, and spiritual accompaniment for our older students. Entrusted to the loving intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace, this chapel is a place where students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ, seek guidance, and grow in faith as young Christian leaders.
