Clear Water Academy is a private (independent), Catholic school with 460 students, providing programming from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. We are located in Calgary, Alberta. Clear Water Academy is a dynamic Catholic school community with engaged students, supportive parents, and faculty who want to meet the high academic and character formation expectations cherished by the school. As a university preparatory school, our students are committed to their learning. We seek teachers (certificated) who embrace this commitment, view teaching as a vocation, and are motivated to be part of a rich educational environment. With our increasing enrollment, combined with our desire to offer expanded programming, we are seeking candidates for the following positions and disciplines:

Administration Positions

Elementary Positions

Secondary Positions

For the commencement of the 2024-2025 academic year (Start Date: August 22, 2024), we are looking for a certificated teacher with experience in teaching High School Math and Science courses. Specifically, the ideal candidate would be able to teach Physics 20 and 30, and all High School Math classes (up to and including AP Calculus AB).  
  • The ability to teach Science 10, Science 30,  Biology 20 and 30, and/or Chemistry 20 and 30 is an asset.
  • The ability to teach Junior High Math and Junior High Science is an asset.
  • Discussion of F.T.E will take place with each candidate with the possibility of this position being a part-time to full-time position (depending on the needs of the candidate and the school).
  • Other teachable subject disciplines in either Junior High or High School are desirable, such as Economics 30, Philosophy 20/30, and Political Science 20/30.

This is a maternity leave position for the 2024-2025 academic year (Start Date: August 22, 2024). We are looking for a certificated teacher with experience in teaching High School Math and Science courses. Specifically, the ideal candidate would be able to teach Biology 20, 30, and AP, and all High School Math classes (up to and including AP Calculus AB).  
  • The ability to teach Science 10, Science 30, Physics 20 and 30, and/or Chemistry 20 and 30 is an asset.
  • The ability to teach Junior High Math and Junior High Science is an asset.
  • Discussion of F.T.E will take place with each candidate with the possibility of this position being a part-time to full-time position (depending on the needs of the candidate and the school).

OUR TEACHING REQUIREMENTS

For teaching positions, we require the documents listed below:
- Cover Letter 
- Resume 
- Practicum and/or Teaching Evaluations
- Transcripts 
- Letters of Reference from Professional Supervisors (at least three) 
- Letter of Reference from Current Parish Priest
- Current Criminal Record Check (within three months)
 - Alberta Teaching Certificate

Human Formation

Spiritual Formation

 

Spiritual formation helps students develop their intimate relationship with Jesus Christ by holistically integrating prayer and reverence within the school curriculum and celebrations. Daily opportunities to participate in the Catholic faith through in-school activities and the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation encourage children to develop a personal relationship with Jesus and to discover their unique mission. 

 

Apostolic Formation

 

Out of the abundance of the other three aspects of Integral Formation, students develop the understanding of the importance of generously serving the community around them. Through concrete works of charity, we seek to emulate the Apostles by caring for the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of others. Apostolic formation calls students to action as they live out their responsibility as Christian leaders.
