Clear Water Academy’s 4 Pillar Thriller Mission Trip Brings Hope to the Poorest Postal Code in Canada

4 pillar

The 4 Pillar Thriller Mission Trip is an annual event organized by Clear Water Academy for the Grade 10 students. This year, we chose to focus on an area that is widely known to be the poorest postal code in Canada - Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It was truly inspiring to see how much our presence could make a difference.

We partnered with Union Gospel Mission to run this mission. On the day of the event, our students were divided into two groups. One group worked diligently to give the shelter a deep clean, while the other team assembled care kits filled with essential supplies donated by families from Clear Water Academy.

Our Grade 10 students were fortunate to hear a powerful testimony from Dave, a Union Gospel Mission alumni, who shared his journey of recovery and transformation through God’s grace.

The shelter group worked so efficiently that they finished their work in record time, and the care kits team put together blessing bags for the community members experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Our students showed remarkable willingness, reflection, and curiosity throughout their experience. It was encouraging to witness their eagerness to learn and serve others.

We are incredibly proud of our Grade 10 students and grateful to the Union Gospel Mission for giving us the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need. We are eager to continue our partnership with them and serve the community in the future.
