Integral Formation

Clear Water Academy is part of a global network of Regnum Christi Catholic schools, a Christ-centered community focused on the Integral Formation of students, nurturing joy, faith, and the desire to serve as Christian leaders. The Integral Formation model is applied to each activity in order to help form the students, staff and families, to know the Lord more deeply and serve Him in the ways He may inspire.

For Clear Water Academy, religion is more than just a subject in school — it’s a framework that helps students achieve authentic maturity as their true selves, ready to live out what they believe. As one of only 150 Regnum Christi schools worldwide, we follow the Integral Formation philosophy, which nurtures students intellectually, humanly, spiritually and apostolically, preparing them to live their beliefs with confidence and conviction.

Our school's mission is “to Form Christian Leaders Who will Transform Society”

Intellectual Formation

Students of Clear Water Academy graduate with a wealth of knowledge, supported by a rigorous academic program consistently ranked among the highest in Alberta by the Fraser Institute. Every graduate is equipped with the tools and preparation needed to pursue post-secondary education in their chosen program and institution. Our academic program fosters students critical thinking, effective study skills, and a personal work ethic committed to the highest academic standards.

Human Formation

Our faculty supports students to grow in virtue, confidence, and leadership. We encourage participation in academics, fine arts, and athletics to help students discover their unique talents while providing opportunities to act with integrity and compassion toward their peers and teammates.

Spiritual Formation

Spiritual formation nurtures students’ personal relationship with Christ by thoughtfully integrating prayer and reverence throughout the curriculum and school celebrations. Daily opportunities to engage in the Catholic faith—specially through in-school activities such as the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation—invite students to deepen their connection with Christ and discern their unique mission.

Apostolic Formation

Building on the foundations of the other three dimensions of Integral Formation, students come to understand the importance of generously serving their community. Through concrete works of charity, they are guided to emulate the Apostles by attending to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of others. Apostolic formation inspires students to take action, living out their responsibilities as Christian leaders and apply these principles in real-world situations.

“The Catholic school is an environment in which faith, culture, and life intertwine. It is not simply an institution, but rather a living environment in which the Christian vision permeates every discipline and every interaction.”

– Pope Leo XIV, Apostolic Letters
