AN EXTRAORDINARY BEGINNING
Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten introduces your child to the hands-on learning environment of Clear Water Academy from ages 4-5. We nurture socialization and classroom skills to spark curiosity and shepherd young learners into a structured school environment.
Junior Kindergarten
Ages 4-5
We see children as competent, creative learners. Our early education faculty encourage students to explore in Clear Water Academy's Montessori-inspired environment. The curriculum combines best practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and traditional philosophies to curate an understanding of 'why' through intentional play, daily physical activity, solving problems, and shared experiences with peers.

Junior Kindergarten Formation
The JK curriculum invites students to build their knowledge and skills through collaborating with others, learning about the Catholic faith, creative thinking, reading and numeracy, and problem-solving.
Dedicated Physical Education Program
Our Physical Education program in the Zoom Room encourages the development of locomotor skills through movement.
Spanish as a Second Language
We introduce hearing and speaking Spanish as a second language, which expands students' capacity for language processing.
Kindergarten
Age 5 (as of December 31st)
With the support of certified teachers, Kindergarten students receive an advanced academic foundation in addition to faith and service to others.
Full-time Program
Kindergarten Formation
Kindergarten is the cumulation of the early years program, mastering skills through the continued practices of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and traditional philosophies.
Social Development
Social skills flourish in a full-time classroom environment through one-on-one, small group, and whole-group activities. Students practice following directions and active listening to demonstrate their care for others.
Out of School Care
We focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment consistent with the spirit of the Integral Formation of our school. This care extends to our before and after school programs for Junior Kindergarten and students from Kindergarten-Grade 6.
Structured before-school activities prepare your child for their day through arts and crafts, painting, games and dramatic play. After-school sessions include time for a snack, homework, outdoor recreation, games, crafts, or reading. Our Child Care Certified staff design all sessions to continue integral learning and fun in a familiar environment.

After School Care
$425/month
- Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
- Friday, 2:00 pm - 5:30pm (Early Dismissal Day)
- Excluding school holidays and professional development (PD) days.
Before and After School Care
$650/month
- Monday-Thursday, 7:30 - 8:30 am and 3:30 - 5:30 pm
- Friday, 7:30 - 8:30 am and 2:00 - 5:30 pm (Early Dismissal)

Busing Program
We are pleased to offer our families a pick-up and drop-off student busing service for the 2023/2024 school year. The Clear Water Academy school bus currently makes three stops within Calgary's Northwest quadrant. We believe that having our own exclusive busing service with an experienced and qualified bus driver is the safest, most reliable, and most formative option for our students.
The total fee for pick-ups and drop-offs is $2,500 per student for the 2023/2024 school year. The fees will be paid in monthly installments (September 1, 2023 - June 1, 2024). For more information please contact us at [email protected]
