Student Life
Semper Altius
Clear Water Academy provides the highest quality education and fosters Integrally Formed Christian leaders. Semper Altius, meaning "Always Higher," challenges our students, parents, staff, and faculty to strive for excellence in all dimensions of formation – intellectual, spiritual, human, and apostolic.
Integral Formation at Clear Water Academy
Spiritual Formation
The School Chaplain and Dean of Students create opportunities for each student to enjoy their personal friendship with Christ and discover the fundamentals of Catholic teaching. Along with spiritual guidance, we participate in daily prayer and reverence, monthly mass, and off-site retreats to grow in faith.
Apostolic Formation
Students gain hands-on experience caring for others through service projects, concrete works of charity, and mentoring younger classes.

Gender-Style Education
"There are few differences in what girls and boys can learn. But there are big differences in the best ways to teach them."
– Leonard Sax. M.D., Ph.D., Why Gender Matters
Outdoor Education
The Outdoor Education Program strengthens our mission of Integral Formation by challenging students to appreciate the outdoors and the wonders of God's creation. Outdoor pursuits, including hiking and camping, encourage students to cooperate to overcome obstacles act considerately to accommodate every individual's ability.

Performing Arts
The annual spring play, talents shows, and musical performances are pivotal to allowing students to express their creativity on-stage and behind-the-scenes.
Clear Water Academy students also engage in a rigorous debate program to build confidence in public speaking and research skills.
Athletics
Crusaders Athletic teams compete in the Calgary Independent Schools Athletics Association (CISAA) Sports league. Our teams regularly qualify for the provincial level in basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, golf, badminton and soccer.
The Athletic Director and coaching staff understand the importance that Athletics offer to Integral Formation and cultivating leaders. Our teams achieve success by modelling Christian values such as fortitude, charity, and obedience.

Out of School Care
We focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment consistent with the spirit of the Integral Formation of our school. This care extends to before and after school programs for Junior Kindergarten and students from Kindergarten-Grade 6.
Structured before-school activities to prepare your child for their day through arts and crafts, painting, games and dramatic play. After-school sessions include time for a snack, homework, outdoor recreation, games, crafts, or reading. Our Child Care Certified staff design all sessions to continue integral learning and fun in a familiar environment.
