Parent Volunteering

We believe that a school is only as strong as its families. We depend on the hard work and dedication of our countless parent volunteers to execute the many events and programs throughout the academic year. We invite you to explore the various ways you can contribute and let us know how you'd like to get involved.

Thank you for your commitment to our school and our students. Semper Altius!

GOVERNANCE OPPORTUNITIES

The Fundraising Committee: Here is a chance to make a lasting impact on the future of Clear Water Academy. As part of this committee, you'll be at the forefront of our Capital Campaign initiative, launched in Spring of 2024. Your involvement will be instrumental in shaping the future of our CWA community.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC):  Through PAC, parents can support our school community, strengthen our community spirit, and build relationships among fellow CWA families, all while upholding the school mission. PAC coordinates and oversees many school events, including Family Fun Nights, the Christmas Store, and the Faculty Appreciation Luncheon.

EVENT PLANNING OPPORTUNITIES

Annual Gala Dinner & Charity Auction: Clear Water Academy's largest yearly fundraising event, this themed gala is the highlight of the year. Schedule for May 10, 2025, at Mount Royal University, it promises an evening of excitement and community spirit. We need many volunteers to help plan and organize this unforgettable night.

Family Fun Dinner - Pasta Night!: A cherished CWA tradition, Pasta Night is the perfect opportunity to connect with our wonderful school community. Join us on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Harvey Hall Gymnasium. As a committee member, you’ll be instrumental in planning and organizing this fun-filled evening.

The Christmas Store: A delightful event where our elementary students "secretly" purchase gifts for their family and friends. It's an adorable and meaningful apostolic opportunity where we see children thinking of others while learning the responsibility of spending money. This event runs from December 2-5 at St. Thomas More Hall. Committee members will plan, organize, purchase items, manage logistics, wrap gifts, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Chair(s): Charlotte Lefebvre and Monica Zerpa

Faculty Appreciation Luncheon: Celebrated around the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron of education, this special event honors the dedication and hard work of our faculty. Scheduled for January 24, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Athlone Hall Auditorium, we need a dedicated committee to plan, organize, and execute this event, ensuring our faculty feels truly loved and appreciated.

Sacristy Care: A unique opportunity to serve by helping with washing and ironing linens, flower arrangements, or taking on a more active role. Fr. Anthony Sortino, LC, Ms. Emily Price, and Ms. Rossana Moya are eager to welcome you to this meaningful service.

Faith & Family: Strengthen the bonds within our community by promoting faith and communion. This committee organizes three cherished events:

  • Friday Night Lights: Date Night! A lively series combining food, fun, and faith. Couples are invited to connect and grow. Hosted by Fr. Anthony Sortino, LC, this 6-part series is scheduled for December 6, February 7, March 7, April 4, and May 2 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Athlone Hall Auditorium.
  • Advent by Candlelight: A beautiful evening for women to prepare their feminine hearts for the Christmas season. This event is scheduled for November 27, 2024, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Calgary Golf & Country Club.
  • Lenten Family Fish Fry: A beloved tradition that brings everyone together during Lent for a delicious meal and shared experiences. This event is hosted by PAC/Faith & Family Committee. This event is scheduled for TBD.

"Fore the Mission" Golf Tournament: Be part of a dedicated team working on hosting an unforgettable golf tournament in September 2025.
