Grades 1-3

Building courage in classroom learning starts with a secure and fun environment. Clear Water Academy teachers work with students personally to understand the best methods to encourage confidence in achieving superior skills in literacy and numeracy.

In addition to the academic foundations, children grow through expanded opportunities in faith studies, music and Spanish class, skating lessons, and performance opportunities.

Integral Formation in Elementary

We believe children need a secure environment to learn, so we focus on building quality relationships with students and their families to reveal their individual, God-given talents. Our personalized education and formation programs invite your child to pursue excellence.

Human Formation
Students begin developing public speaking and performance skills by preparing for concerts and assemblies and poetry recitation.

Intellectual Formation
We emphasize superior numeracy and literacy skills to encourage a love for learning in all areas.

Spiritual Formation
We integrate spiritual celebrations within our school year calendar along with daily opportunities for prayer and reverence.

Apostolic Formation
Students are encouraged to participate in concrete works of charity including Mary's Meals and serving younger classes.

Grades 4-6

The upper elementary curriculum emphasizes reading and writing, mathematics, computer skills, and public speaking development, setting the foundation to move into our comprehensive Junior High program. Faculty and students are empowered to succeed within a single-gender environment. Girls and boys benefit from instruction tailored to their learning styles and development supported by evidence-based research.

Gender-Style Education

"There are few differences in what girls and boys can learn. But there are big differences in the best ways to teach them."

– Leonard Sax. M.D., Ph.D., Why Gender Matters

At Clear Water Academy, our curriculum makes no distinction between genders but recognizes learning and social differences to inform our teaching strategies. Our uniquely trained educators empower your child to take risks in their thoughts and ideas by tapping into special interests and applying developmentally appropriate methods for girls and boys from Grade 4 through Grade 9.

Every person was created uniquely by God with distinct gifts and talents. We promote single-gendered classrooms to facilitate these individual educational needs and growth better. Girls and boys achieve the same high academic standards and Christian leadership development through consistent quality instruction and varied engagement approaches. Students still benefit from co-ed activities to connect socially at lunch, recess and some option classes.

Out of School Care

We focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment consistent with the spirit of the Integral Formation of our school. This care extends to before and after school programs for Junior Kindergarten and students from Kindergarten-Grade 6.

Structured before-school activities to prepare your child for their day through arts and crafts, painting, games and dramatic play. After-school sessions include time for a snack, homework, outdoor recreation, games, crafts, or reading. Our Child Care Certified staff design all sessions to continue integral learning and fun in a familiar environment.
